BILL JACKSON
Helping education nonprofits and funders grow their impact

I'm Bill Jackson
I help education nonprofits and funders grow their impact
About me
I am a social entrepreneur and fresh thinker with broad and deep understanding of education issues and systems.
In 1998, I founded GreatSchools.org the K-12 school guide which reaches half of U.S. families every year. In my 18 years running GreatSchools, I grew its reach from zero to tens of millions of people, raised over $50M in philanthropic funds, launched major new features and revenue lines, and developed dozens of partnerships.

I am also the founder of Raise Ready Kids, co-founder and board chair at Family Engagement Lab, a former board member at Coro Northern California, a Pahara-Aspen Fellow, and a Senior Fellow at Ashoka. I hold a BA from Yale University in mechanical engineering and history.

Let’s talk about how I can help.
I help clients:
-
Raise more money to accelerate scale and impact
-
Grow earned revenue and long-term sustainability
-
Gather information and insight to inform strategy
-
Develop and launch new programs and partnerships
-
Identify and articulate ideas that accelerate impact

"As a funder of GreatSchools, I saw Bill's leadership in action. He's ambitious, creative, and forthright. He has the mindset and track record to help nonprofit leaders grow their impact and fundraising "
